Anamazing workshops 13 short stories that celebrate BIG morals, values and ideals told in a delightful, inspiring and visual style all of which embrace our humanity with a uniquely African heart.
The stories were produced by a team that included mentors, animation expert Allan Cameron and acclaimed writers Penelope Middlebone and Martin Lamb from UK Company, Right Angle. These experts played a significant role in providing mentorship among the South African talent.
The project was conceptualised with the aim of creating high-quality African animation programmes that provide culturally relevant entertainment for South African youth.
Anamazing workshop's Backyard Shorts, a collection of 13 locally animated short films produced by their in-house Animation Production Training Initiative (APTI), Founders of Anamazing and the creators of the Animation Production Training Initiative (APTI) Isabelle Rorke and Dumisani Gumbi are the Executive Producers of Backyard shorts.
